Blog Earnings : April 2008
As expected my site earnings dropped , because of my server host error. It was a 5 days downtime, Im busy fixing my server and transferring most of my sites to my new host that I did’nt have time to promote my sites or at least create a new post/articles to my sites.
Google Ads : $238.00
TLA : $12.74
Kontera : $28.17
May 2008 goal - Increase site earnings to $350

My Alexa Rank
I just noticed that my Alexa rank dropped to 2million, it was on 800k before, I need to work on increasing this site alexa rank some sites like TLA based their add rates on Alexa and Google Page rank. So if I want add TLA on this site my ad rates will be lower than $15.
How about your Alexa site rankings ? did it dropped or its just me.

Site Maintenance Plan
This week is like no weekend to me, I need to move all of my sites to my new server. I already moved some of my profit generating sites to my new server and all I can say is that my new server is much better and faster in terms of response time compared to my old WebHost.
Transfer Plan
1. Update Domain Name Server - point to my new web server DNS
2. BackUp MySql db 1 at a time - because my current host doesnt have a cpanel back-up now 
3. Zip all files per domain
4. copy zip to my new server
5. Extract all files
6. Create DB / Username per domain
7. Update wordpress config.php to point to the correct DB location and username
8. Wait till the my new DNS name propagates it will take 24-48hrs before it propagates correctly.
9. Since both sever are running, there will be no downtime for my site transfer activities.
Note: Make sure not to post articles this time until it correctly propagates to your new server host.

New Server Host - After 5 days of downtime
Finally, After 5 days of downtime most of my sites are now running, I transfered to a new webhost hope all goes well, my previous Host(RisingWebWorks) are running smoothly in few months and all of a sudden all of my sites are down, their support service Sucks, they didnt email/notify me about the problem, I can’t access my ftp files, I can’t login to their site. I also tried to contact their number, and I also tried to contact them thru WebHostingTalk.com and ended up no reply, I created a site host report in WHT forum and the thread ended up 7 pages and 1 of the Site Liason closed the thread because there are debates etc regarding legal matters about so and so….
But thats life, I know experience is a best teacher so lessons learned do backup your site weekly or daily basis, my back up is way too old its Dec 2007, luckily my previous host are online again, so I create a full backup and move all my files to my new host before they disappear/totally again.

Need a new web Host
I need a new web host, I need to move some of my sites hosted in RisingWebWorks.com to a new server. Im worried that more problems may occur soon. It happens to me before when TrexHost.com got almost the same problem. I am looking to move to a bigger and better server but will cost me more. Im planning to move to CrucialWebhost.com or JaguarPC.com
Hope RisingWebWorks.com recover so that I can transfer all of my files ASAP.
Time is money and downtime for my sites is a few dollars lost on my end.

I’ll try to do the changes he recommend and the suggestion he made that the dummy links below my site to maximize it. For example, now I dont have a premium advertiser on my Hongkong tour site links, then I should place my personal links/article links to that instead of leaving it blank and waiting for an advertiser to fill in. In that way I already maximized the potential of that link by linking my other site or just by linking to some of my article post.
